About the role
The Office of Data & Analytics (ODA) Senior Power BI Analyst is an important role as the Trust leads up to and delivers the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) implementation.
The ODA Senior Power BI Analyst will play an integral role in the Trust’s EPR implementation and the ODA’s Analytics Evolution which are happening simultaneously.
The ODA Senior Power BI Analyst will support the Analytics Engineer in the design, development, testing, deployment, administration & maintenance of reporting of our new Power BI Analytical Portal.

Main duties
The Senior Power BI Analyst will:
- Work with the ODA Analytics Engineer, Senior ODA Delivery Manager & colleagues to refine requirements
- Work with the ODA Analytics Engineer to build scalable, reusable reports
- Work iteratively with customers to ensure requirements are met

Essential person specification requirement
Qualifications:
- Degree or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of experience
Experience:
- Significant experience of working on the information services agenda including knowledge of national requirements
- Excellent analytical and requirements gathering skills
- Demonstrable experience of being able to understand and interpret results from complex or novel analyses, apply the results to the given problem and suggest conclusions to be drawn
- Experience of providing complex multi-faceted analyses
- Able to present and explain results of analysis via written and verbal communication
- Good working knowledge and experience of databases including database interrogation tools
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to effectively influence
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and effectively manage competing priorities
- Ability to translate complex information for a variety of purposes. Present such information in a range of formats to diverse audiences, such as a multi-disciplinary team or service user group
- Expert use of IT systems and applications, including data interrogation/manipulation
